- Screenwriting basics (main character(s), secondary characters, three-act structure, dramatic plot points…)

- Writing the short screenplay pitch

 

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 20,  2016

- Film language vocabulary: shot breakdown, framing, composition, uses of focal length, ellipsis, sound recording

- Writing the short screenplay synopsis

 

WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 21,  2016

- Lighting basics and camera techniques (focus, apertures, focal lengths)

- Camera movement analysis (panoramic, dolly shots)

- Final draft of the screenplay and casting

- Pre-production: location scouting, script breakdown, prop and costume lists

- Rehearsing with the actors from the Acting Workshop

 

THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 22, 2016

Shoot all day with the actors from the Acting Workshop 

- Production: shooting the script – students will alternate doing different technical functions

 

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 23, 2016

- Editing theories and techniques

- Practical aspects of editing video, sound and mixing

 

SATURDAY EVENING  SEPTEMBER 24, 2016 - 8pm to 10pm 

- Public screening of the 2016 Paros Film & Acting Workshop short film and Greek cocktail party

-Screening of a Greek feature film at the Archilochos Cultural Center (between the port and the Vidalis supermarket) in Parikia. Free to all.
